Main component (sodium chlorite) to activate with (Hcl), to obtain a biocide. Which in turn is used for the purpose of purifying wáter (chlorine dioxide) and making it fit for human consumption. Component included in art. 95 of EU Regulation 528/2012 on biocides.

25% NaCIO2 sodium Chlorite liquid solution, (250ml) precursor substance of a biocide (Chlorine dioxide) obtained by mixing with the 4% HCL activator (250ml). The kit consists of two 250 ml containers, one of Sodium Chlorite (25%) and an Activator HCl (4%).

This product is of value to anyone who wants to ensure that their drinking water is safe and is of particular value those who hike, mountaneer, are at sea where they may find themselves without suitable drinking water and also those who travel to areas where there is doubt as to the quality of the drinking water. Many people worry about their being an attack on a city's water system, this kit can provide them with complete peace of mind. It can also be used to cleanse surfaces that are used in food preparation and for washing fruit and vegetables to reduce the risk of parasites and microbial pathogens that may be found in fresh produce, including Cyclospora cayetanensis, Escherichia coli O157:H₇, Hepatitis A, Listeria monocytogenes, Norovirus, Salmonella spp., and Shigella spp.

Effectiveness:

Up to 99.9% effective against germs (A-D level effectiveness), certified by the Robert Koch Institute.Which is the German government's central institution for the identification, surveillance and prevention of infectious diseases. NaClo2, is authorised for purifying water; making it fit for human consumption and general cleansing of surfaces. Making homes and industrial settings safer by reducing the risks of contamination from microscopic organisms; bacterium, viruses and fungus.

Storage and preservation: 

Store in a cool dry place, in an upright position, keep tightly closed and out of the reach of children. If it is not activated, NaClo2 will keep without the need for refrigeration for up to 2 to 5 years. Once activated, the solution (Chlorine dioxide) should be stored at <11 degrees C and in dark location for a period of up to 9 months, it should be used during this time.

Disinfection of surfaces and equipment in Food Industries and other areas of public health:

Mix in equal parts, in a clean dry glass (non-metallic), 5 ml of NaClO2 Sodium Chlorite Solution (25%) and 5 ml of HCl Activator (4%), in 500 ml of distilled water and stir until it reaches an amber color, 25 ml of each to dilute the mixture in 5-10 litres of wáter (depending on the level of contamination),in a closed container. Carry out the process in a well ventilated area Apply this soñucion to the surfaces to be cleaned using a cloth. Leave to activate for at least 5 min then rinse later with plenty of clean water before using the surfaces or equipment.

The kit contains:

One pack containing 250 ml Sodium chlorite 25% (Naclo2) + one pack of HCL Activator 4%

Mixed at 25% sodium chlorite and a at 4%. HCL Activator

Recommendation:

Sodium chlorite should never be used alone. It should always be activated with a safe acid such as HCL 4%.

Mixing sodium chlorite equally with an acid generates the biocide chlorine dioxide for water purifying and cleaning.

Pack of 250 ml in a non-transparent bottle, to preserve its quality.

It is very important to note that exposing the content to ultraviolet light can impair the product.
